How to Develop Ourself

Assalamualaikum. Today, I would like to share about the human capital development process model that I had learned before. First of all is needs assessment. This process is referred to a gap between what an organization expects to happen and what actually occurs. As an example, if we have a presentation on that day and we do not perfectly prepare for the presentation so that the mark for the presentation will be lower than another presenter. So, in this situation, we need to train ourselves with joining any program that might help us to improve ourselves. Therefore, for the next presentation we can get a higher mark than before. Secondly is how to design an effective program. There are 6 key activities that involved in designing a human capital program which are setting the objectives, selecting the good trainer, develop a lesson plan, selecting program method and mass media, preparing a material for the training and prepare a schedule for the program. Besides that is how to implement the human capital development program. Basically, there are two types of trainees which are a novice and expert person. Novice learner may easily get confused about some work while experts learner is more creative and confident in doing a task. Lastly is how to evaluate the program. This evaluation idea is from Kirkpatrick which are contains 4 level. The levels are the reaction, learning, behavior and results. The first level is the perception of trainees about a program and its effectiveness. Commonly trainee will get the reaction during the program. Next level is to measure someone about what they have learned before through quiz or test. Then, this level can be assessed through observation of the trainee’s on performance records. This process model taught me on how to train myself in the future world.
